Fairy Tale Friday: Lessons from The Little Mermaid

Here at Cupcakes and Karma, when the wine comes out, the resolutions get made. In addition to making a resolution about Mythological Mondays and Poetry Tuesdays, the team here decided that for the entire year we were going to write a new feature called "Fairy Tale Fridays.”

What is a "Fairy Tale Friday,” you ask? This time, I actually remember. Fairy Tale Fridays are either a retelling of a fairy tale, lesson we've learned from a fairy tale, or something related to a fairy tale. True, that's a little vague. But sometimes we need to be a bit vague to allow for creativity. Plus maybe there was more wine involved than I remember.

Anyway, here's our first Fairy Tale Friday.

Lessons from The Little Mermaid

If, like me, you grew up singing the entire score to The Little Mermaid, then you'll remember this scene quite well. If The Little Mermaid taught me anything it's that the human world is indeed a mess. Thanks, Sebastian, for getting it right in one.
